Tarareo para mis adentros: People say I’m crazy doing what I’m doing… Im just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round.[4]

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go…

I asked Xavier Araiza after eating: about the John Lennon's songs, what's your favorite? Choose only one. He hesitated. He could not pick just one, he would have preferred to respond on his political affiliation or his disagreement with the current government. Perhaps, this question will be difficult for those we like the music of Lennon and we come from a generation of vinyl. A little more than thirty years ago, the threat of CDs was mythical, that worldwide sales will exceed a variety of authors and that the market would turn to the CD, instead of the longed LP's, was predicting the conceived doomsday. Memory, cruel traitor, leads me to my ten years old when I first heard a beautiful melody in a language that I did not know: Yesterday. There in the middle of a neighborhood street away from London, rang in the jukebox a prodigious song that would be the scoop to the music of the Beatles and with it, the music of Lennon.

In 1980, the album Double Fantasy (Double Fantasy) released on vinyl, included fourteen tracks: seven of John Lennon and Yoko Ono other seven. I noticed on the front cover, on top the Yoko's image the Lennon's name, and top Lennon's image the Yoko's name, both in an eternal kiss, a jewelry-heart hangs on her neck while John take her by the neck . The black and white photograph recalls a past time. On the album were recorded the best known songs of Lennon, emblem of the eighties. For her Side A, (Just Like) "Starting Over" and "Beautiful Boy", better than other, and on Side B, "Watching the Wheels", and "Woman". Of course, for me, before entering diatribe, the best song on the album is "Watching the wheels" and you can think what you like.

On the website "Pantagruélica" there is a Lennon dossier it´s treats as an object of veneration, and several writers dedicate their lyrics to this monster of twentieth century music. Items: The Rainbow Thief, by Francisco Veloquio; Lennon FBI file, by Anaro Reyes; No hell for youth, by Angelica Santa Olaya; At 30 years of Lennon's death, by Victor Barrera Enderle; Lennon and music protest, by Cesar Morales Oyarvide; Lennon: suspicion of a decade, by Nervinson Machado; Here John Lennon died, by Mario Antaeus, John Lennon: Two looks, by Muñoz Alonso Teran / Abigail Plasencia, John Lennon, two sewer, by Jaime Arreola; All you need is John, by Jorge Sposari; Sir John Winston Lennon Onno, by Magdalena Martinez; Lyrics from John Lennon, by Arturo Molina & Pantagruélico´s John Lennon, by Xavier Araiza, they are an invitation to reading subversive. Read it as like to you.

Return to the after eating, while I eat a delicious dessert with coffee. Humming to myself: People say I'm crazy doing what I'm doing ... I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round...
